Then a vaccine will also be ineffective, unless they "guess" every year like they do with the flu viruses. Even if the virus mutates, if you have beaten it already, your body is more likely to be able to deal with it than if you have never had the unmutated version.
By all means, get the vaccine if you like. This sacramental may well be as ineffective as the Lyme Disease vaccine is.
