Desperate times do indeed call for desperate measures. For the Democrats, a truly desperate time could come if Joe Biden is forced to withdraw from the presidential race. While the former vice president is the presumptive Democratic nominee to face off against President Trump in November, his nomination is still far from official.
Some Democrats tell me they fear that Biden’s political survival is getting more problematic with each passing day. They cite three main issues. The first is their concern that an allegation of sexual assault leveled against Biden by former staffer Tara Reade won’t go away anytime soon. If anything, it appears to be about to gain a new life.
Next, they worry that another shoe could drop regarding questions related to Biden’s son Hunter and his business dealings. Lastly, some Democrats are concerned about Biden’s age and possible cognitive issues — a concern that some also have expressed about Trump.
For those reasons, and a few more, might we envision Biden being privately talked into retiring from the race or voluntarily doing so himself? Let’s assume that happens just before or just after the party’s convention, in whatever form it is held. What would happen then?
The process is actually fairly straightforward. If Biden quits the race right before the convention, delegates would select a new nominee. If he drops out right after the convention, members of the Democratic National Committee would pick their replacement candidate.
Who might be in consideration to become the new nominee — and who would be selected as the vice presidential running mate?

Right. So all of his delegates are still his. The weirdness would kick in if Biden drops out while Bernie is still officially a candidate. It is my understanding that state rules would then apply. Some states would make the former Biden delegates free agents. But some reallocate them to the remaining candidates. The rules are quite intricate.
So I’m thinking MrEdd might be right. Bernie wouldn’t have enough delegates on his own to take the nomination. But if he gets enough of those reallocated delegates...maybe.
Obama is not a natural born citizen, the Constitution says he can’t be President, ever.

Well that pretty much seals it as to when he would drop out if he drops out. It would be right after the convention, that way the powers that be (Obama and Clintons who still run the DNC) will get to choose without having to deal with pesky little delegates.
Not a chance. She’s got more baggage than a chinese suitcase factory. She’s still officially under investigation for the 30K emails. The Steele dossier (fusion gps, etc). The Benghazi disaster. The 2016 election circus (coughs, passes out, spazzes out, has some anoymous black doctor follow her with on-the-fly injections, calls Trump a russian asset, D. Brazille gives her town hall questions in advance, L.Lynch meets Bill on the airport tarmac, she owns the DNC, Uranium one... She steals funds from the Haitian people. The corrupt clinton foundation.
I dont know how many people have forgot about just the stuff i mentioned...but if i remember, i guarantee a whole lot of others do also. She will never hold any political office in the USA ever again.
And after they rub that in the face of the country, they will say "Thats how Democracy works!!"

If Obama were to become vice-president, he would be able to serve two years as president. He would not have been elected a third time. (This ignores the question of his original ineligibility.)

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.It's the 12th, not the 22nd, that applies here. Obama served two complete terms, so he's ineligible to be President again. Therefore, he's ineligible to be Vice-President, too.
