The giveaway that it was a setup was the note of trying to get him to admit to violating Logan Act. No one has ever been prosecuted for that 200+ law since it’s inception and many people think it’s an unconstitutional law. But anyway to use THAT even if the notes were rumbling thoughts is suspicious to say the least.
