Sometimes people at this board sound like communists. Companies develop each potential drug over approximately 10 years for up to $1 billion dollars on average spent in the process, and 9/10 of their candidate drugs fail in development. And then the company is expected to give away its product to everyone and anyone. Why would a company embark on such an expensive pathway of research and development if it couldn’t receive a return on its investment at the end of the process? People here often sound like socialist countries in Europe.
