The Democrats are taking their stand on the coronavirus crisis in an untenable position. It is like building a defensive redoubt in a valley surrounded by hills in the hands of the enemy (like the French at Dien Bien Phu in 1955, as President Eisenhower warned them). Whether this is tactical stupidity by the president’s enemies or strategic genius by the president or — more likely — a bit of both, is not clear except to insiders.
Readers will recall that the Democrats charged out of the gate on the issue of taking science seriously and reacting comprehensively; the president picked up the gauntlet, brought prominent scientists forward, and “flattened the curve.” The Democrats wallowed in glee at the almost instant increase (in a month in fact) of unemployment by almost 30 million.

It has been a severe crisis, but most of its severity has been the consequence of the panic generated by the irresponsible media, who thought they might destroy the Trump presidency at last.
They have failed again, and this is not such a watershed moment. In a few months, everything will be largely back to what it was within the United States. The big changes will be geopolitical: the mystique of the inexorable rise of China will be very faded, and the remaining credibility of the concept of the European Union will be in tatters.
Mr. Trump wins the political chess game at home in a clean sweep: the medical crisis, the financial rescue, the rebound of the economy, and at the voting places of the nation. And he will be the winner in the world. China and Europe have long been billed as rivals to the United States as the world’s most powerful government and population. We will hear less of that.

Same here, 4 months ago Trump was an absolute lock. Now it looks like it will be a dog fight to be decided on whether the rats can get Mail voting in enough states to get them to 270 EC votes. If the rats throw out Biden it will mean they have decided they can win this thing.

Have you seen recent pictures of her? Looks like while she was home with her freezers and ice cream, she also had her face sand blasted. It looks smoother and shinier than glass. No 80 year old looks like that naturally.

That doesn't mean however that we shouldn't hang all Demwit politicians in and out of media.
I tend to agree with his analysis. The MSM/Dems (I repeat myself) would crucify President Trump is anyone breaks a fingernail because he had the courage to end the lock down.
Instead he has correctly placed this responsibility where it belongs under our form of government. And guess what. . . FL, TX, GA their heading back to normal. NY/CA let them explain to their citizens why they are still third-world when life goes on elsewhere.
Sure the press will beat the drum but once again all most Americans care about is getting back to normal.
By November this will all be but a bad dream.

One poster there thought Trump and all his supporters should be crucified, like in the end of Spartatus, because hanging is too quick.
