Keep in mind that Gates has been doing business with China for years, and is upset that his state of the art nuclear reactor designs for China, nearing design completion, were cancelled by the Trump administration as prohibited technology for export. So he’s upset over that.
Sen. Tom Cotton made a rather damning accusation on Maria Bartiroma’s show today. He said that China knew in December that the virus could spread from human to human and they realized they had a major pandemic on their hands. They could not take the risk that China alone would be attacked and economically impacted by this and lose their standing in the world. They made a conscious decision to allow the virus to spread from Wuhan outside of China and not notify the other nations for weeks so that everyone would suffer the effects and not just China. Impossible to prove but their actions seem consistent with this charge.
