Check CDC website itself. It has loads of stuff on novel virus pandemic, including the 1957 and 1968 editions.

Everybody knows novel virus pandemic is inevitable. It happens maybe once a decade. Government is supposed to spend quality effort on being prepared to treat the quite predictable symptoms, and we deal with the loss of life and accompanying trade off in where the money flows.

Until this one. When all of sudden THIS one is like the first in 100 years, and OMG OMG OMG.

Not so much different from the Salem witch trials, except now ALL of us are witches.

Exactly! Thank God for the doctors who came out and showed what was happening and how it should be treated instead of what was going on.

Now it's up to the pols to do the right thing and open this great country back up and let us do what we do best:
