It is worth remembering that the US was not alone in this approach. Most of Europe shutdown as well. And what was happening in Italy was truly frightening. Trump had no choice initially. Now that we have more data, he should change course.

Gen. Mike Flynn wrote a great book about the threat of Islam and how we could prevail over it. It was released in July 2016. He obviously had worked on it long prior to that and much of his career was combating Islamic fundamentalism. He held high positions with Obama, but but was ignominiously fired. Obama even warned Trump to not hire him. Why? I’d say the concentration of Islamic bad actors surrounding Obama: ValJar, Brennan, Page and Strzok, Huma, and God knows how many other deeply seated moles. Flynn is indeed the straw that can break the camel’s back.
I was upset when POTUS did his stream of consciousness thing re UV light therapy and ended up somehow talking about bleach.
The media absolutely ignored their own reporting inside the press conference, where a reporter asked if he meant injecting people with disinfectant. POTUS said no, he was talking about areas and surfaces.
They then posted on social media, got people really riled up, make it a story.
AP/Daily Mail then created a story about how this “disinfectant issue” is part of Trump’s anti-science agenda.
Snopes.com got right on it and posted an article “Did Trump really say to inject yourself with bleach?” They rated it as true. They did mention Trump’s clarification, but says it wasn’t clear.
Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats repeated the talking point, giving it legitimacy.
They now have an ad for the 2020 election, whereas before, Pelosi’s ice cream video would have been a winner for POTUS.
Trump did himself no favors when he later said he was being sarcastic about suggesting injecting it into people. This was an unforced error on his part, because now the media are saying “If he didn’t say it in the presser, why is he saying he said it, even as a joke?”
He made his re-election in 2020 even tougher.
It is time to get them all off the stage and back to work opening up the country.
My guess is that Trump/DOJ already have a lot of stuff on a lot of people. But, if Flynn’s case helps that’s a wonderful thing.I keep 5,000 sealed indictments a month in the back of my mind alwasy.....

Yeah, he has had a bad rough road lately with lots of no -win situations. Like how or when to open things up. No matter what he did it was either too early or too late.But we are on our way to a huge victory, I can feel it.
