Have you tried to hire an american nanny? I have one who is wonderful and reliable but is also 60 years old. Most of my colleagues have ended up hiring au pairs after going through several ureliable nanny’s because they could t afford to lose their job when the nanny didn’t show or showed up late or just didn’t feel like working. Before you keep slamming people for not hiring american look what’s out there to hire It isn’t pretty

Not only that but hiring through an agency gets you an affirmative-action approved employee rather than an actual competent employee.

Then you don’t hire an American if you refuse to pay enough.

In my family, when my sister divorced a bad man, she came home to live with us for awhile with my oldest niece and nephew. WE ALL PITCHED in as a Team to make sure she got back on her feet. Eventually she remarried a good man. But we would have been there for her even without a new good husband.

The fact you are using the word “colleagues” like that just is a dead giveaway. I’ll bet you have lotsa high quality ice cream though or maybe fancy yogurt in one of those multiple refridgerators though.

I can see that pinky sticking out while you drink your high-priced tea.

Life is tough and you don’t pawn it off on some immigrant because that is what your ‘colleagues’ did.

Maybe you just hang out with low class Americans, step up your social game and get into a better network. There are plenty of good American kids out there that can do this work.

Well, all I can say is that the rampant joblessness combined with the $600 dollar government stipend will separate the American wheat from the American chaff. Said American wheat will be willing to work hard for less than that $600 dollar/week payout while being more likely to observe your rules and COVID safety protocols. The bums you’ve run across will be more likely to sit at home drooling over their $600 dollar checks with their lazy, hard-drinking BFs.
