“Sounds like the common cold.”
Corona is the basis for the common cold. Covid-19 is super corona.
As a non medical observer, I note that there never has been a vaccine for the common cold. I doubt there will be a vaccine for this. The only way forward is to accept the risks and live life.
Check MMWR over the years. Coronavirus arent even competent to be a very significant cause of the common cold.
A vaccine to prevent the common cold has been difficult to make, primarily because there are more than 200 different varieties of viruses that can cause colds.
Rhinoviruses account for nearly 75% of common colds and theres at least 160 different strains or serotypes of rhinovirus (coronaviruses and adenoviruses making up the rest) so making a single cold vaccine is challenging.
Additionally, unlike influenza and now COVID-19, few people have serious complications or die from common colds so even if a single vaccine for rhinoviruses were developed (and they are working on it) it probably would only be given to those at highest risk such as people with COPD or cystic fibrosis.
Common colds can come from both rhinoviruses (which the Chinese Frankenvirus amazingly seems to start out as in most symptomatic patients) and the milder coronaviruses (which tend to occupy the lower respiratory tract). This POS pretends to be a rhinovirus, and should the body’s response not be robust enough, then goes south to the lungs, heart, kidneys, etc. The Chicomms really created a monster here, albeit one that won’t have a high a death rate, in the end, as we feared.
