I have never invested in futures, precisely because I have never researched how those futures markets work.

There are many places to store oil, and lots of it, but most are approaching max cap.

I have two 350 gallon tanks out by the barn.

The local price paid for a barrel of oil is $.01. Ergon will

Novel coronavirus
Negative price

Wordsmiths are busy tonight and full of crap.

You can’t sell something at a negative price. You can give it away and take a paper loss.

Novel coronavirus. I see that this is the term for most Wash. Post leftist writers and even a few conservatives use it.

Why is it called “novel coronavirus”? “Novel” means either “unique” or “new” but every “virus” in the past 20 years has been new and novel, even if it is a derivative of a prior one.

I have a “novel” idea. Tell these writers to quit trying to sound “educated, suave, cosmopolitan”. They aren’t. They are dime a dozen writers and with unemployment rising in the journalism field, they can be replaced in a heartbeat and nobody will ever miss them.

Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama never, ever stops with his lies.

That’s why I rarely listened to anything he said.

It was just so much lying - constantly. It was sickening.

I only captured a few things here and there. Other than what I saw posted at FR.

And yet there are damned fools that still worship this Lying Kenyan.

Trump should just take payment and stash all that oil into our strategic oil reserve.

Dfw has a massive distribution center for Amazon. Yesterday I ordered Amazon fresh at 0345, and all 38 items were on my front door at 0746. Milk, eggs, cheese, tonic water, bitters, margaritas mix. 4 kinds of meat, OJ, bacon all cold from the fridges still. Amazon id killing it no wonder their stock is rising.

So does this mean, if you go long on Crude futures, you get paid money up front?

That, on its face, is male cow excrement. Nobody is ever going to pay you to take their oil.

So with the price of oil at such lows how does one invest in oil? I see there is a Barclays stock symbol OIL that is trading really low.
I dont have a ton of expendable cash to invest in the Exxons of the world. But would like to get in on some of the action. Once people start getting out and businesses start sending employees back out on trips I think ool will most certainly go up. Pure speculation of course as I am a novice

Good news; I’m glad that you had success!

Any limit on eggs?

“This has the potential to destroy our oil industry if this fu*king economic shutdown doesn’t end soon!”

That’s not something we can control.

The oil price collapse began with China shutting down after Lunar New Year in January due to what Covid was already doing there.

Then Saudi Arabia and Russia began their own price war which many suspect was aimed at putting U.S. fracking out of business.

Our own shutdown is contributing but these other factors are bigger, particularly what the Saudis and Russia are doing.
