The Israeli NGO Shurat HaDin plans to file a class action lawsuit against China in the coming days over its alleged negligence in treating and containing the coronavirus, N12 reported on Sunday.
The Israeli lawsuit, once filed, will join at least four on-going lawsuits submitted to US courts against Chinese authorities over the pandemic, according to Newsweek.
Shurat HaDin usually focuses on terror groups, yet according to Aviel Letiner, husband of Shurat Hadin director Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, just as states cannot commit acts of terror and claim immunity due to their being sovereign agents, China should not be able to avoid its own alleged failure in containing the virus.
The lawsuit is submitted in the US due to the fact that most other countries are scared of the implications of Chinas economical might he added. In recent years China made huge investments in Israeli infrastructure, winning billions of dollars of tenders for projects like the Tel Aviv lightrail and Haifas new harbor.

Things may start to get real interesting.
Good!
I know it's not that simple ... but in the end it is that simple.
Chicoms attitude will be “Why pay you.....when we can kill you with another virus?”
Not sure who first said it but 'A citizenry gets not the government it wants, but the government it deserves.'
And frankly if we don't put the correct screws to China, well ... a neighbor gets not the neighbors it wants ... but the neighbors it deservers. The world bears some of the responsibility - not financial or direct responsibility - for condoning the Chinese and essentially being morally bought off by cheap stuff.
They had a pathogen.
But we have a SUPER pathogen.
The stakes ratchet up. If all 180 countries did this I cannot even imagine what comes next.
Shakin’ in their boots.
They’ll just sell the bonds and call in the loans.
Aint much that can be done really. The law suits will be ignored by Red China.
Harsh economic sanctions will result in war (eventually) the same way it resulted in war with Japan in WW2.
Another said to me here last night that the best way is to subvert a civil war within Red China. That is most likely the best action.
One must remember this. Red China cares not one bit about its population. Just like Japan in WW2. And one must also remember, we/allies, will be facing not only Red China, but N Korea, Iran, A couple South/Central American countries, and maybe Russia. All of those except, maybe Russia, care not one bit about their populations.
That’s one way to win friends and influence people.
Hong Kong was in open rebellion in the weeks and months before the virus outbreak.
It amazes me that so many people support Chinese made products. All these so-called “woke” people think nothing of dropping $1500 on a iPhone or $400 for a pair of shoes that was made on the backs of people making $1 a day. That is a country that has millions of people locked away in prison for thought crimes and religious exercise - and they are the lucky ones! Some are just disappeared.
Then sue anyone in America, the Uk/??? who has received money from the ChiComs to muddy the water re what the ChiComs did and plan to do.
A gesture and nothing more. Even if a judgement is reached they will never get any money.
Great! Time to collect from the Communist jackasses! Waiting for individual lawsuits as well. Politicians better get in on the gravy train to collect from the Chi-Coms.
Rotsa ruck correcting.
I’m sure the chicoms have enough bullets for every unarmed china citizen. How do they get them?
If China helps Iran in retaliation, how will that help Israel? Sounds pretty stupid to me. They aren’t going to get anything from the lawsuit.
