Answer this question then Mr. numbers genius. The first confirmed CV19 death in the United States was on February 29. It’s been 50 days since then. The latest figures as you wrote were 38,732. That means that there is NO WAY IN HELL that 39,000 deaths occurred in ONE MONTH! Got it?

Oh, your quibble was about the month aspect of it, not the 30,000 aspect of it. Well the charts I looked at didn't show any appreciable numbers of deaths until March 14th, and so that's the time I place the epidemic to have begun. Whether it be a month (30 days) or 45 days, is a trivial point. 38,000 dead in 45 days is still far worse than the flu.

It's not an even distribution. Coronavirus spreads exponentially.

Go to worldometers usa and scroll down until you find the chart named Total Deaths.

1 person gives it to 3, 3 to 9, 9 to 27, 27 to 81 to 243 to 729 to 2187 to 6561.... It accelerates until it has trouble finding new cases to spread to. If we hadn't have locked down, we would indeed have been looking at our healthcare system overwhelmed.

And if we didn't have the lockdowns it would have continued to spread exponentially. That's why we had to do lockdowns.
