AS we all know, the virus has had a widely disproportionate impact on the various states. As recently as two weeks ago, about 25-30 states had fewer than 30 CV deaths. Even today, New York, New Jersey, and Michigan account for more than half of the deaths in the country, i.e., they have more than all the other states combined.
Even within states, the deaths tend to be concentrated in a few counties. As of two days ago, my own state - Washington - had 18 counties with no deaths, and several more with fewer than five.
With such wide disparities, it seems obvious that shutdown policies should be left up to the states.

Inslee hinted he may potentially extend shutdown past 5/4. Perhaps the Seattle area needs to extend but not the whole state. It is ridiculous. How do we get him to open up construction??
