Iceland has tested one-tenth of its population for coronavirus at random and found that half of people have the disease without realising.
They also discovered that 1,600 people have been infected with Covid-19 since the start of the outbreak. Of these cases, there were only seven deaths, indicating a fatality rate of just 0.004 per cent, which is significantly lower than other countries, including the UK.
The findings were made during Iceland's rigorous testing campaign, conducted with the help of Reykjavik-based biopharmaceutical company deCODE genetics, which has seen 10 per cent of the 364,413 population swabbed, something yet to be achieved by any other nation.

People die everyday and we accept it as part of living.
Ive had family members die that i am sure if the government would have spent 5 million to save their lives that MIGHT have possibly lived. WHY did YOU let them die? How can you live with yourself?
When we paid for health-care directly, we used to make those decisions - now it is left to a bureaucrat and some lawyers to decide (or worse, government functionaries), in part based upon whether you fit a preferred class or victim status.
We'll soon be doing that, I'll bet we find out similar. So Covid death rates will be like .0001% - that's gonna hurt.
“in part based upon whether you fit a preferred class or victim status.”
In theory maybe.
In reality the left will exalt whatever demos suit their current political needs (which is ALWAYS to gain power or if they can’t gain more power is to hold on to what power they have).
Otherwise, there is no evidence the left particularly cares about the aged. But now we are to believe they care so much they are willing to crash our economy to save? people who would likely die in a matter of months anyhow?
There is more evidence that the left would,if they could, euthanize old people (60 and older) and anyone who is smart enough not to vote for democrats.
