I know a guy who did Pittsburgh to Denver in an MG Spitfire.
I don’t recall his time but you could pass trucks on the underneath in that thing.

In the winter of ‘79-’80, I made a 325 mile trip that took me 15 hours.
Worst snow storm ever in my experience.

I had one of the first 1970 914s sold in the midwest. Drove it from KC to San Diego taking the scenic route.
Looked like this and was a lot of fun except in winter.
