New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) ordered all residents to wear masks in grocery stores as coronavirus cases and deaths continue to climb.
[Cut]
He said during a press briefing Wednesday that those not wearing face coverings would "get asked to leave," except for those who are under age 2 or with medical reasons to not wear a mask.
"My personal guidance is you gotta go out and find something to put on your face before you come in," he said, according to NJ.com.
Murphy also announced that all nonessential construction will "CEASE indefinitely" starting at 8 p.m Friday

I suppose when the workers in the grocery store I frequent are wearing masks themselves, then it might occur to me that they are genuinely concerned about the spread of this virus; it might occur to me as well to put on my own mask.
But because they're not wearing any masks, I have no reason to think that they are any more concerned about exposure to this virus than I am, or that our risk from contracting Coronavirus is greater in a grocery store than it is in any other business establishment.
It’s a shame he’s gone; from what I’ve been hearing here on FR, he’d have quite the business running moonshine across Pennsylvania at night.
I'd hang my head to have LYNDON Johnson see what we have become.
What would make you think that he is capable of even considering (never mind, answering) the questions you've raised?
Murphy later clarified. He can’t enforce it. It is up to the supermarket to decide...

BREAKING: Im signing an Executive Order to further our aggressive efforts to enforce social distancing.
All non-essential construction across New Jersey will CEASE, indefinitely, effective 8:00 PM Friday.— Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) April 8, 2020

Im not gonna be surprised when Republicans take over the state again. Murphy has been irresponsible. He is ruining the livelihoods of literally millions of people. Im willing to bet that more than half of New Jersey already had this virus.— Ed, a regular guy (@EddyTree1960) April 9, 2020
I was in Morris County yesterday getting gas. Then pulled into the ShopRite wanting to quick get a drink and there was a huge line wrapped around the store of scared looking people behind their carts. Forget about it!!! I’m not doing any shopping in New Jersey for quite awhile.
So have you been wearing a mask every day, every year during flu season? If not, why are you so selfish not to protect others?
How am I endangering anyone if I'm not infected?
It might occur to me that they are wearing a mask because management requires it or they go home. I was at a Dollar Tree today and the young cashier said she hates the mask and that she can't breath. I doubt she's wearing the mask out of self-concern.
I think it's a noble gesture to wear a mask if someone thinks it would put store employees at ease; from my own limited experience, I don't think the store employees are concerned at all.
Latest memo says 4 to 8 weeks. By then some cities may be ablaze and there will be no economy(or supply chains) left intact to revive. Maybe that website showing the USA population as about 100 million in 2025 is correct.

I (reluctantly) went into a hospital today - through the ER - and the ‘guard’ and ‘nurse type’ at the outer door had masks on .... I asked what the procedure was for deliveries and they said go ahead and deliver BUT first stop at the main desk (past the inner door) and get ‘surveyed’.
No masks on but they were all ‘far away’ and the young lady closest to me (about 10 feet) asked me if I had been exposed to any one infected, I told her no and she asked if I experienced shortness of breath and I said no, matter of fact I hold my breath EVERY day and stay around 45 seconds ... she told me to stick out my arm and they put a band on my wrist and she told me that would ‘prove’ I had been checked....HMMM
They were erecting a huge tent right at the ER entrance.
I said reluctantly going into the hospital because that is where the ‘sick’ people are but I did pass very few people on my trip to the lab and once they saw my wrist band they escorted me to where I was going and if they were ‘6 feet’ apart I have some things I want them to measure for me ...
A-yep...I'm stumped. You got me there.
Depending on whether or not it was just a pee, he may have been safer by not touching anything else...you can drink urine...but a dab of the virus can cause big problems.
