“non-essential abortions”
It is important to note there are a few legitimate circumstances. My wife had been feeling crampy with pain that was growing day by day until it was just at the point clearly she needed to see a doctor. We found out she was pregnant, but it was an ectopic pregnancy. (Where the fetus implants up in the fallopian tube not the uterus) The doctor made it very clear in this circumstance the fetus never survives and it is frequently fatal to the mother as well. While it was a tough decision, it was also a clear decision.
Was 30 years ago and I still think about what if it had been a normal pregnancy. They young adult we’d have now. What if modern medicine wasn’t available and my wife had died. Where would I be now? God has a plan. I don’t understand. Maybe the experience was to make us appreciate the 4x more children we do have. None the less, I still think about that child wishing circumstances had been different.
It’s why Christ said...”the righteous have no need of a physician, only the sick!” God likes doctors! He doesn’t like quackery.
God is not the author of confusion and you proved that by noting the “clarity” in the decision making. God bless you and your wife!
