You can bet, based on their statements and policies given to hospitals that all of it was put down as COVID, regardless of whether it was seasonal flu, pneumonia, or another respiratory problem.

As for narrative, that is entirely unnecessary for NYC, as the COVID cases greatly outnumber all other deaths combined. It’d be just a drop in the bucket through the past week and a half. 150 deaths per day (Low 140, high 158) is typical for NYC, and the COVID deaths have averaged 436/day. Even if you mis-assigned ALL of the other deaths to be COVID - which would also be obvious - with those numbers the narrative would be the same.
