Drug companies fund most of the media companies with advertisements for drugs that they produce. Often, these proprietary drugs are expensive until the end of the patent period.
Hydroxychloroquine is a cheap generic drug. No drug company is going to make a ton of money off it and there will not be any lucrative advertisement budgets for the various media outlets.

Is it the least bit surprising that the media is in full force denigration of this cheap and apparently safe and effective drug when used with zinc and a broad spectrum antibiotic?

Absolutely right and they don,t want the president to get any credit for something that works. Kind of makes them look bad.
