Docs that treat lupus people for decades have said the risk for that is so incredibly low, that they don’t even consider it when prescribing it despite it being suggested- it’s just a suggestion to test for heart issues to determine if it should be given or not- but again the docs said risk was so low, they don’t bother- They were on fox the other night discussing this very thing- They both said it’s so safe they have never had any issues with it except perhaps mild cramps or nausea- They were not concerned about giving it to people with heart issues-

But most MDs would at least screen for prolonged QT syndrome (routine EKG)
same is true for a wide array of anti-psychotic agents that do the same thing.
