When people are around other people, there’s going to be risk. The same thing can happen for a multitude of diseases, so I guess everyone has to wear masks when they go out, whether they have a cough or not. No more swimming pools or restaurants. This is not the bubonic plague, where no risk would be acceptable.
Sure. Cough and sneeze into your elbow, then do the “elbow-bump” greeting that is supposed to replace handshakes with others.
The Communist Chinese must be thrilled beyond their wildest dreams with their success in bringing the greatest country in the history of the world and 350 million Americans to their knees in less than a month ... all without making a threat or firing a shot. Although I detest Communist China, I must acknowledge the brilliance and effectiveness of their plan and their uncanny knowledge of the American psyche. It's downright scary how much they know about us.
Once they open everything back up that curve I can’t see how that curve doesn’t gonna go right back up and hospitals get inundated. Maybe it just buys another month or two to stock up on vents, PPE, space, staff, meds, etc. But unless we are prepared to holdup until a vax, they are going to have to let this thing run its course sooner or later.
Insanity to worry about this, but I did worry recently after one very minor, unrelated cough in a grocery. Will they throw me out :( ?
Common sense tells me that coughing, shaking hands and other touchy feely gestures create herd immunity, without which we’d likely all be dead.
Similarly, all these sanitizing products—which I refuse to use—kill MOST germs. Most, not all. The strong strains survive and live on and strengthen and will eventually kill us.
That’s why anti-biotics have become increasingly less effective. ( I don’t ask for those either, unless it’s life or death)
The WuFlu isn’t the big killer, but we’re creating one. And only a few of us will survive.
A sneeze is a very violent act. I’d love to see what really results from a sneeze into (and out of ) a mask or a sleeve.
Simple. We took God out of everything. Now we turn to fear.
We wear a mask and sunglasses in the stores and stay far away from others. Thats about the best you can do.

Seriously? They have a man openly sneezing and position the receiver in the center of the second isle, leaving everyone else alone. and so it seems like the cloud specifically "targets" the man for about 8 seconds. Is that the way ventilation works?

Nice story...expect it’s being spread by Third World bathroom habits, not by aerosolized droplets.
You are correct. My wife long ago said she didnt want to use these anti-bacterial soaps and cleaners in our house because of that. That stuff is just creating monsters.
