Maybe I’m wrong about this, but my impression is that vaccines aren’t terribly profitable for the pharmaceutical industry. The mandatory nature of many vaccines (for school admissions, for example) comes with government price controls and other restrictions that make them less than ideal products for revenue in a pharma outfit.

Vaccine makers get GUARANTEED sales to government agencies and, under a Bush era law, TOTAL IMMUNITY from lawsuits (something not enjoyed by ANY other sector of American business by the way).

As for me I won’t be touching any vaccine with a 40 foot pole. Fauci has tried and FAILED to come up with an AIDS vaccine for 30 YEARS! Yet he struts to the microphones cock sure that he’ll have one for this in 18 months or less. I don’t buy it. Nothing in his track record tells me he can pull that off. Any vaccine appearing on the near horizon will likely be slap-dash and rushed to approval as a face saving measure.
And likely to do more harm than the disease IMHO.
