A militia leader is rallying people to attend a mass gathering in Idaho on Easter Sunday in defiance of the governor's orders to stay home amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to a report in The New York Times Tuesday, Aamon Bundy says he and his allies are willing to 'physically defend' the event, which is scheduled to take place in the city of Boise and could attract upwards of 1,000 people. 'I will be there, and I will bring as many people as I can,' Bundy reportedly told a group of supporters on March 26, a day after the state's stay-at-home order was issued. 'We will form a legal defense for you. We will perform an active political defense for you. And we will also, if necessary, provide a physical defense for you, so that you can continue in your rights.'

In the wide open spaces of Idaho Im not sure how much good an automatic weapon is against a shooter 500 yards away who has the reticle of his high powered rifle firmly centered on your heart.
I used to respect Bundy - he chose the wrong venue this time.
“All the people who attend this event should be identified and if they get sick no hospital bed for you.”
And every year from now ‘til Eternity, if you pick up the flu at church: NO HOSPITAL BED FOR YOU! The worst pneumonia I ever had, and the worst flu I ever had, came from attending church.
Those that want to be part of a toxic soup "for religious purposes" aren't exercising religious or Constitutional prerogatives.
Of lemmings...
Perhaps that will reverse now.
There. Presto. You’ve just a church service. Now teach the other how to do it online. Just like that.
Why did you attend church knowing that you might get the flu or pneumonia?
I’m shocked that the elected leaders of Idaho aren’t the ones who want to attend the service. Maybe people up there aren’t participating in self governance like they aught. Know what I mean?
“The beatings will continue until morale improves!”
Thanks for including the standard totalitarian response. It let's us peg exactly where you are coming from.
I disagree. It is exactly the right venue. Either we have rights, or we don't.

“Why did you attend church knowing that you might get the flu or pneumonia?”
Yeah. Now that I think about it, I guess I should give up church forever. Lots of cooties there. [s]
Ahhh...more of that “free will” stuff...
Let the guy have his service. Let the masses flood to him.
We can write down everyones name and SSN, and if you get sick in the next three weeks the Rev can take care of you. No hospitals for people who dont want to follow the rules.
That sounds like a great deal.
It sounds like he is more interested in the collection plate.
YES!
And also for ALL FR posters who advocate for freedoms guaranteed to us under the Constitution.
“.more of that ‘free will’ stuff...”
Yeah. Free will. Personal soul liberty.
I’ve seen several articles staying that Idaho is having a surge of cases or that per-capita Idaho had more infection than New York. Both of these notions are misleading BS by the media to further an agenda.
The reality is that most of the “surge” is located in Blaine County and Ada County in the southern part of the state and it’s only because rich liberals tried to escape the virus in Los Angeles and New York and brought it to South Idaho en masse on their private jets.
The fact is that North Idaho has had very limited cases of Covid-19 and is geographically difficult to get to from the southern part of the state. The panhandle is much less at little risk from people meeting at church. The one size fits all approach is going to kill our economy.
