If they are afraid they can quit and be replaced by the unemployed who are not afraid.
I have thanked them all every time I walk into a store. This hysteria would have been far worse if they did not come to work and I for one am very thankful for everyone who has continued to work so we would not add food shortage fear to our list of problems.
Kudos and prayers for all of them and a heartfelt thank-you.

LANSING A Democratic state representative from Detroit is crediting hydroxychloroquine and Republican President Donald Trump who touted the drug for saving her in her battle with the coronavirus.
The ones I have talked to think America has lost its mind.
Here in L.A. every cashier at the Korean market has been wearing masks since weeks ago! American markets hopefully catching up. So appreciate the efforts of all the supermarket workers — not just in stocking shelves, but in providing kind and humorous human contact in this period of isolation. The interaction can be such a relief! Heroes. All.
May God bless each and every one of them and keep them and their families safe in Jesus’ name.

Trader Joes friendly cashiers haven’t missed a beat and they are so appreciative of our thanks and support. We’re now allowed only 25 customers at a time and X’s everywhere.
In my area they do not act afraid.
I am tired of the media BS.
Quick - everyone to your safes paces!
Shelter in place in fetal position and suck your thumb (but first wash your hands)
Someone from the government will be around in about 180 days to check on you.
Good for them, for sure!
Let’s not forget truckers. Without truckers, we’d be eating dandelions and wiping our butts with leaves.
Speaking of wiping our rearends, Trump needs to order all print publications to turn these giant rolls of newsprint into TP. Newspapers are NOT essential.
I wonder if one of the results of all this is that we see quicker adaptation of kiosks and robots. They can’t catch viruses (although I am sure they are vulnerable to technical viruses from ‘The Cloud’)
I understand that Walmart has had a couple of employees die of the virus.
They tend to employ a lot of seniors there. I’ve had cashiers ring me out who were at least 80. Guess I can understand if they are afraid.
There is no cure for death
1. Working instead of home watching someone tell then how scared they should be
And
2. Not hearing about any cases in our area.
I suppose grocery workers in crowded hotspots might be scared. Out here in flyover country? Probably the sort of people who follow celebrities are scared but in general the pandemic has been all talk and the fear came and left early on.
Been going to the same store for years, all the regular employees are just going about their business as if nothing is different. But they know they’re doing their part to keep things running.
Stress and fear raises inflammation which means you’re must more likely to get very sick
Yeah right. 95% of America is not “afraid” and would go back to work tomorrow. Lift the tyrannical bans and lets see who is “afraid”.
The other 5% are: 4% Prog operatives and 1% Chicken Freepers.
“Concerned” has now been replaced by “afraid”.
Our So Cal Grocery Chain Stater Bros started allowing (maybe mandatory?) employees to wear masks last weekend. Before that none had them on.
A good trend around Christmas would be to throw one 20 bucks.
