I’m in Alberta and have never experienced your version of Canadian health care. I have never waited more than 20 minutes to see a Dr. and when one of my kids needed an MRI she had it the next day. The quality of your healthcare depends on your Provincial Governments spending priorities.
Yeah! Just like in the Vietnam Era Canada was on our side!
And when Chrétien supported our Iraq actions!!
Mil Mascaras has plenty to share
Canada’s our friend - but we are NOT ‘feasting’ over here... I’m sure that as soon as possible we’ll be sharing masks with Canada.
AH, yes. AP
Canada has become the passive-aggressive ex-girlfriend of the US.
Did Canada stop Chinese Nationals from entering when POTUS Trump banned them here? If not, why?
They’ve put on extra shifts and are going 24 hrs per day with no plans to slow down until this is over. The material has to be made from cedar for its antibacterial properties.
Canada has 16 thousand cases and the US has 340 thousand cases. Canada’s not doing too bad.
Dearest Hosers: Shut UP! Please send us a check for our free defense of you forever.
Yes using the 10% scale Canada should be around 34 thousand if it was tracking exactly like the US but of course the demographics and maybe testing level isn’t the same along with a whole bunch of other factors. Regardless Canada is pretty much following the US lead in locking down everything it can.
Here are the numbers updated as the numbers come in at least on a daily basis. As you can see the Nunavut Territory is the place to be in the Great White North! :)

Yeah, I get it. Trump wants to put Americans first, and he wants to promote that principle in this case this way; however, I think it is a little un gracious in this respect. Trump isn’t perfect obviously and in this case, this seems like a mistake.
Yes, and I say this as a Canadian, Canadians ARE sheep. Polls show that while Americans distrust their media, Canadians love their media. They love the fact CBC is state owned. They love the fact the RCMP changes the rules constantly to make criminals out of honest gun owners. And you never ever talk smack about the health care system here.
Thanks for the links, but I’m not seeing where you can drill down into the numbers provided by Canada.
By comparison, the United States is providing data down to the county and zip code level, and South Korea provides even more detail.
With the relatively small number of cases being reported and the vast size of each Canadian province, their data really doesn’t give anyone a clue about where the virus is being spread.
This seems to be intentional by the Trudeau government.
Some people are quite rude about it. I have heard many times “what kind of idiots support Trump”
Here is what Trudeau’s daddy said about WWII...
“So there was a war? Tough. It wouldn’t stop me from concentrating on my studies so long as that was possible..[I]f you were a French Canadian in Montreal [at that time], you did not automatically believe that this was a just war. In Montreal in the early 1940s, we still knew nothing about the Holocaust and we tended to think of this war as a settling of scores among the superpowers.”
I had an argument with lots of people from Alberta on social media. It seems Alberta is flooded with socialists because I only ever heard from Trudeau fans from Alberta. But I was told that the medical system in Alberta pays for everything. CPAP machines, medications, ect. THAT is NOT the case in BC. You needed extended health care to pay for medicine, and SOME plans will pay for your CPAP device.
LOL. Love it. Canadians hate it when I say this about us, but we have a MASSIVE inferiority complex with America. We get mad when Americans don’t notice us. Americans barely ever think about Canada, and Canadians absolutely hate that. But then when America does notice us, it also pisses them off, because it is often to criticize some aspect about Canada.
Just a guess but I doubt Canadian data collection is that detailed. As for hot spots I suppose the news covers that but I haven’t watched that stuff as a rule for a long time now. I do get some email summaries and I do skim that. For the most part nursing homes seem to be clusters sort of like what happened in the state of Washington.
