Trump said Pritzker has ‘not performed well,’ sends Illinois more ventilators after governor rips him over COVID-19 supplies

In a back-and-forth that yielded more desperately needed COVID-19 ventilators for Illinois on Sunday, President Donald Trump, after announcing the new shipment, said Gov. J.B. Pritzker has “not performed well” and is “always complaining.”

Trump slammed Pritzker at the Sunday evening coronavirus pandemic briefing at the White House. That was hours after the Illinois governor in a morning CNN show ripped the president over the federal stockpile holding undistributed and urgently needed COVID-19 supplies.

“I hear him complaining all the time,” Trump said about Pritzker. “He’s always complaining.”

Trump said “we’re building a 2,500-bed hospital” in McCormick Place. Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Friday unveiled the first 500 beds in what will be a first-of a kind facility in the nation for moderately ill COVID-19 patients. That facility, built in the convention hall by the Army Corps of Engineers, could grow to 3,000 beds.

"Trump Derangement Syndrome" has outpaced COVID-19 in Illinois politics for three plus years.

Illinois is bankrupt and cannot function without federal bailouts and assistance. Pritzker is less than mediocre on his best days.

Have another doughnut, J.B.

I just hope his future prison cell will be big enough to accomodate him.

For those not in Illinois - JB Pritzker is the spoiled Billionaire [Hyatt Hotels] who bought the Governor’s Seat in the last election.

He looks exactly like Fred Flinstone. Only Fred Flinstone is much smarter.

Do they say why they like him? I was reading that Indiana has a 2 billion dollar rainy day fund. IL has 56,000 rainy day fund and 7.5 billion in unpaid bills.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has “not performed well” and is “always complaining.”

Hmmm, probably another failed Democrat Governor who takes no personal responsibility for anything.

Governor Pritzker is something of a “Pritzk”. In the grand tradition of ALL Democrat Governors that Illinois has ever had, each of them has been a crony of the Democrat machine of Chicago, almost a separate entity unto itself.

It has literally been YEARS since Illinois has been a self-supporting institution, relying instead on bond issues, grants, under-the-table deals, and quite frankly, on regular infusions of Federal cash.

The worse part of the shutdown is Pritzker’s daily press conferences. He behaves like a petulant child spreading panic and fear with his whining and lackluster public speaking. When he issued his first executive order closing public places, he proceeded to tell the public to go out and vote because he refused to postpone the Illinois primary which was scheduled to take place a few days later.

The man is a buffoon.

Illinois desperately needs its own version of Trump to jump up and grab the out-of-control bull’s horns and get this state turned around. Same thing on the local levels too, as our once solid red downstate county is being infiltrated by a gang of Chicago leftists.

No matter what our President does, it will never be enough for the Democrats. Their states are bankrupt and they EXPECT the federal government to pull them out. ie New York, Illinois, California. Throwing more money at these states is not the resolution.

The liberals deliberately hide the fact that governors were supposed to supply their states, not wait for the feds to help 50 states.

No, they don’t but the fact that they are democrats and vote that way is the only reason I see other than they dislike POTUS with a passion.

Thats one silver lining of coronavirus. It will blow a titanic-sized hole in the budgets of single-party, leftist-bureaucratic states like IL and NY.

They can try raising taxes drastically, but both states are already high-tax and losing people, particularly productive ones. These political apparatchiks will fight to save the political status-quo, but it won’t work.

The parallels to the Soviet Union in 1989 are apt.

The only way to fix any of this ..including America itself.
Is to never allow the greedy politicians to regain power.
IOW, we are eventually doomed.
The best we can hope for is to slow down the inevitable destruction.
So, enjoy your family, and what freedoms we have left, and be glad you got to at least enjoy most of it while it lasted.
