I know, right? The dollar General store here in town, had 2 bags left, of which I bought one. I am boycotting our local grocery store, unless it’s an emergency, because they are price gouging, which is why we drove a ways to get to aldi. But I had a curbside order I had to pick up in the same town, anyway.

I’m not complying. I’m not openly defying but I am not changing or turning my life upside down because of this. This fear & panic is completely irrational imo. The stats just do not back up or warrant this over-reaction. No, if I need something from the store, I am going to go to the store. If I want a bottle, I am going to go get a bottle. If I want to go out, I am going out.

Yeah - for your 61,000 flu deaths it would be over 5,000 deaths a week for the 11-12 week period. Back in January I read they thought it was more like 90,000 flu deaths, but yeah - that chart isn’t close.

Even with the 5,000+ flu dead a week the CV chart would still look bad. Especially if plotted using the same start date.

What is that saying? “Figures lie and liars figure”?

You clearly do not understand what you are looking at. Add the weekly numbers for the green line: 500, 1000, etc. Do they add up to 61,000? No. That’s because they are wrong. There were 6,000+ deaths per week from flu in Jan 2018.

“Americans must accept poverty and economic depression, plus also risk starvation, in order to be protected by our government.”

On Fox today, some a$$clown referred to the aftermath as “America 2.0”. I guess they mean the “America” where a couple unelected doctors decide the future of the country in spite of the republican form of government.

The green line (2018) does not add up to 61,000 deaths.

I’m so sorry that you are so terrified. That’s a horrible way to live. I hope you find relief soon.

Numbers don’t lie, people do.

I really don’t understand why people can’t understand what the graph is showing, except that they don’t want to understand.

The point IS NOT how many people died.

The point is HOW FAST people are dying in comparison.

I’m going to leave you be, because you don’t want to know.

No I was being serious. I’m not a baker or beer brewer, so I didn’t realize you could keep a live culture of yeast in dough form indefinitely the same way vinegar has the “mother” and kimbucha has “scoby”.

The chart is way off if it is measuring flu deaths by the thousands per week for seasonal flu in year.

Over 22 weeks in 2017-2018, there would have to be an average of almost 3000 a week. For this year, with 23,000 deaths, the average would be near a thousand.

The chart is garbage.

I get that the coronavirus spike is much higher but its drop in ever country so far is a lot faster than the seasonal flu. I doubt we get anywhere near 100,000 deaths.

Looks like around 1,800 or so deaths for x number of weeks, then less than that for y number of more weeks, then less than that for z number of more weeks.

Does it add up to precisely 61k? I dunno. Maybe. Maybe it’s off by a few thousand.

Do you see that people are dying at a much faster rate with CCP-19?

Nobody seems to get that.

I know - the actual “chart” could be approximated by a green line at 5,500 or so going straight across for 11 to 12 weeks.

And as I said - the CV chart would still look worse. At least for now - hopefully we can get it under control sooner rather than later.

Dear Doctor,
Please let us know when we can go to the grocery store. I understand that having to get food is probably not a good reason to go now.

I do next day eating, too. I just got in the habit of family cooking so it’s still a kettle of stew or chicken soup or pea soup etc and get to freeze containers. I’m freezing rice now, too. Make a big batch then put in freezer bags and freeze flat. This is for the rice that takes like 40 minutes to cook...the good stuff.
