How do you get groceries from your vehicle into the house? With the Wally World ord and pick up app you only have to worry about getting stuff into your house, not going to get out and trudge around inside the store then wait in checkout lines and load your stuff then drive home and unload. My local Wally World has the stystem well in hand. Very efficient.
Before the virus we would order online and do curbside, but they seem to have discontinued the service. There is constantly the message: no slots available check back later and I do... often.
I live in an apartment complex, and have a parking spot out front of the building. If I buy more than I can carry in one load, I leave the non-perishables in the car for a day or two, and bring them up on my next trip anywhere. I can usually put two six-packs of soda in a canvas bag, sling it over my left shoulder, then have another canvas bag I put the perishable stuff in for my right arm. When I get inside the building, I put the bag on my right arm on the stairs, then drag it up a couple of steps at a time, until I reach my apartment, which is at the top of the third floor. It's a short set of stairs for each floor, so it's not a big deal.
I'm not interested in having anyone else pick my groceries out for me. I'm picky when it comes to the bacon I buy, and no clerk is going to look for the leanest bacon, or worry about a can being dented. I worked in NY State's prison system for 25 years. I don't trust anyone. It's a side-effect of the job.
