Not surprised that the hydrochloroquine doesn’t clear the virus from the body. That would take antibodies that you have to grow yourself. The med is good at reducing the symptoms while your body builds antibodies to fight the virus, and that’s enough.

The purpose of hydroxychloroquine is not to help the body rid itself of the virus, the purpose of the drug is to modulate the immune reaction to prevent a cytokine storm killing the person thru overreaction to the virus.

HCQ does not clear the virus. HCQ does minimize the cytokine storm that does kill you.
