On Wednesday, the WHCA’s board voted to bar OANN from further access, but the vote is essentially symbolic. The group has no power to keep anyone out of the White House or its grounds.

The White House correspondents association should be in charge of who gets invited to their annual awards dinner but not who is allowed to be in the White House at the press briefings. I wonder how that power got started and evolved. Now another leftist tactic is exposed.

I Remember early in President Trump’s term that the daily press briefings had people from different outlets, even some who were there by Skype from far away. I wondered why they didn’t continue with that. Perhaps the White House correspondents association did not like the competition.

I hope that our president will be changing this leftist power play.

CNN has been airing parts of the press briefings lately but not always the entire thing. It is interesting that a so-called news channel thinks that commenting on a press briefing is more newsworthy than the briefing itself.
