This specter of a police state being inserted into America is scaring me way more than this virus. My God given liberties guaranteed on paper ie the bible and the U.S. Constitution are more important than my health.

Finally, some articles are appearing asking the constitutional legal authority upon which all levels of government are curtailing freedoms. With all the lawyers in this country, this should have been out front from the get-go. Governor Cuomo (correctly) raised the constitutional issue with regards to RI infringing the rights of traveling NYers. The irony is that he and the other governors do not see any limits to their power to take away the freedoms of the citizens, and most likely would be appalled if such a citizen challenged them in court. (I would predict the courts would side wrongly side with the government.)
One way to challenge is to be arrested and take a chance that a leftist judge (who had no problem with throwing out charges against leftist vandals who tear down non-PC public monuments) will throw the case out. Be prepared for the onslaught of media, a major instrument in drumming up the fear and hysteria necessary for the loss of freedom, to tear down and demonize such citizens who believe their constitutional rights are violated. It has happened already with the pastor in Florida.
The economy is the only fear I have. We destroyed the best economy we ever had. This is a million times worse then a little inconvenience of staying at home.
