One of the reasons is if you wear a mask you start touching your face more.
On an individual level, there was a study in 2015 looking at medical students and medical students wearing surgical masks touch their face on average 23 times, Adams explained. We know a major way that you can get respiratory diseases like coronavirus is by touching a surface and then touching your face so wearing a mask improperly can actually increase your risk of getting disease.
Adams went on to say that wearing a face mask can also give you a false sense of security.” He added that “you see many of these pictures with people out and about closer than six feet to each other, but still wearing a mask.
He noted that there are also consequences to wearing masks.
Sophistry. Pure sophistry. He’s trying the junior freakonomics routine but it’s simply because there are not enough masks.
You think medical people don’t touch their face when wearing a mask? I know.. they are “trained”. But the truth is that dozens of trained people, including doctors, are all over the internet touching their faces while telling us NOT to touch our faces.
A mask is useful, but there aren’t enough. But government lies almost constantly so they cant SAY that. They lie when the truth would fit better, they lie more than a teenage girl, they lie for profit, for control, and because the look down on us.
I would respect him more if he just said, yes, they are helpful for everyone, but there simply aren’t enough and won’t be for a while.
A mask is a two-way barrier, most important is it prevents you from spreading germs, secondly, it helps protect from taking germs in. So if everyone is wearing a mask there are 2 levels of barriers to the virus being transmitted.
I wear latex gloves which keep me from touching my face.
