Mayor Bill de Blasio said he was outraged by President Donald Trumps suggestion that medical supplies are being stolen by staff at New York City hospitals.
Its insulting, its outrageous, its incredibly insensitive to people right now who are giving their all, de Blasio said on NY1 Monday morning.
At a White House coronavirus briefing Sunday Trump said he didnt understand the surging demand for masks at city hospitals.
Something is going on, and you ought to look into it as reporters. Are they going out the back door? Trump asked.
I dont even know where hes getting that information, de Blasio said.
Its not true and its the wrong thing for him to do and he should just get back to work, de Blasio fumed.
Last week, an executive at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital said there had been a theft of medical gear before discovering the supplies on-premises. There have been other, scattered reports about missing and stolen supplies.

How does it go, paraphrasing; me thinks the good mayor protests too much.....
Kind of seems like the Government didn’t infiltrate the Mod as much as the Mob infiltrated the Government?
Look conservative98 im not gonna fall for a banana in the tail pipe
You can bet Trump knows a bit about New York and “Da Boys”.
You can bet Trump knows a bit about New York and “Da Boys”.
Something is going on indeed Bill de Blasio made guys getting sloppy not good for business.
NoDe BlasioIdiot, what is INSULTING is that your wife stole hundreds of thousands of dollars and has yet to be even remotely charged for that theft....yeah, mirrors in your house Idiot? /s
I think thou doth protest too much, there Wilhelm.
Does Kaiser Wilhelm even KNOW what is going on in his city? He is probably one of the most disconnected mayors New York has ever had, and with the loose hold he has had, all kinds of chicanery and petty graft has been going on, unimpeded by the least degree of oversight.
It does not good to call the police or the prosecuting attorneys, they are so hogtied and circumscribed they are virtually unable to investigate or bring charges on what little investigation is being done.
After watching this president for 3 years, if I were a betting person I’d put my last penny on the president being in full knowledge of who is stealing, and what they are stealing. It’s only a matter of time before we’ll be reading the news reports vindicating him.
Should maybe someone investigate the claim..?
Trump put it out there has any “News” org checked it out, doubt it
deblabbio’s protest sounds like the fake outrage of someone who’s just been found out.
I’ve got an idea where the masks went.
SEIU, a union that contributes huge amounts of money to the Dems, suddenly “found” 39 million N95 mask
....That they’re now selling for $5 a piece.
Its only a matter of time before well be reading the news reports vindicating him.
Dream on
It’s not Trump’s first rodeo, everyone knows about the supplies sent to Puerto Rico
Yesterday the President noted one hospital in NYC that normally uses 15k face masks in a particular period of time had used 300k.
He wondered if they had gone out the back door....
Even the people who make the masks thought the hospital claims of using that many even in an epidemic were suspect.
Straight out of the leftist playbook. Attack, attack, attack. And when you’re caught lying, attack some more.
Go to the source, not DeBlasio. Just ask the hospitals if they are using 200,000 - 300,000 a week. This figure came from one of CEOs at yesterdays briefing. Trump didnt make it up
I heard $800,000,000. But, why quibble. The point is she blew it on her favored friendly group in an aimless fashion. I doubt she kept it for herself.
Is idiocy a form of corruption? Practically speaking, it makes no difference.
