I respect Dr Faucis opinion and years of experience but hopefully hes wrong and way overestimating the # of future infections.
I think we are all hoping he is wrong. But I see no evidence that he is so far.
Has he been right yet? I respect him too but he has been a constant of could
I believe the good Dr is a creature of bureaucracy. I would like to see a whole lot more urgency from him. I would like to see more urgency from Benito Cuomo on getting that trial started. I would like to see that various politicians understood the consequences of their actions...and inactions.
That said, given the numbers being racked up in NYC, the willingness of residents there to scatter it to the winds, the news from New Orleans, Detroit, the potential for places like Florida with their elderly population...yes, it could pop 100K deaths.
Governors in Nevada and Michigan could make it much worse than it has to be. And in New York State...do I understand that you can't get the Hydrochloride and Z-pack treatment unless you're enrolled in the study, and they're still choosing the participants?
Politicians and bureaucrats need to move at the speed of Trump. If anything is obvious it's that we're being ill served by the politicians and the bureaucrats...Mini Mario decides he'd rather pander to illegals than stockpile respirators? The Governator had California prepared for something like this, and they pissed it away? Governors all over whining about how the Fed isn't giving them what they need? Obama deciding preparedness wasn't a priority?
The ill prepared deciding the only thing to do is unleash their inner fascist? The Congress p$ssing away the last three years on Resist?
Thank God for PT.
