Without a lock down, there will be a sudden, huge influx of infections, a big spike that will overwhelm the medical system. Coronavirus patients would be a big addition to the regular patients and the system couldn’t take care of everyone all at once. The lock down is supposed to make the spike of Coronavirus patients shallower and more gradual, so the medical system is not choked with too many patients at once.
If the number is only going to be 100,000-200,000 deaths with a total shutdown of the economy do you really think its going to be north of 2mil. if we open things back up? There are over 325 million people in this country.
Agree with your explanation. So, why not release the hydroxychloroquine + zinc supplementation prophylaxis regimen for ALL healthcare workers, so the ‘system’ remains operable at max? The hold up comes down to Fauci not putting his approval on it. Is his hesitance because it works too well and will slow the release of the much more lucrative big pharma treatments coming soon? I’m asking, not asserting.
