I’m hoping my husband and daughter already had it. Both of them were really sick in February. My daughter had pneumonia. Husband didn’t have pneumonia but lots of trouble breathing. Both went in antibiotics and hubby went on Prednisone.
We are in San Jose, so I think it could have been around.

An older sister was on Prednisone (and some other meds) twice, 2nd time on a higher dosage - February into March. First high fevers, chills, a bad cough and hard breathing. The fevers subsided but the cough grew worse - consistent and nonstop. She went to bed half sitting up many nights and didn’t sleep. She tried to get Kaiser to give her the Covid19 test; they refused, three times, even after a few weeks and having to increase her medicine. She is O.K. now, but the cough lingers as an occasional and diminishing cough. Her daughter works for the sheriffs department and comes into secondary contact with prisoners via the department people she is in contact with. She was sick first and likely brought it home to her mom. She kicked it in about two weeks and went back to work, by then her mom was sick too. Her department tried to get a Covid19 test for her but couldn’t get one. They said they could only if she had to be hospitalized. Hope that is no longer the case in California. They live in southern California. Case numbers don’t look as bad there as in a S.F. area. Both my sister and her daughter get the flu vaccine religiously and every year they still get some sort of cold with a URI.
