My wife and I have both volunteered and been paid to work at the Life Care Center in Kirkland. I was one of the first here who said that this was more than just political shenanigans and took a lot of heat for that. I had no idea the panic could morph into what it has.

We have several hundred thousand recent Chinese immigrants in Eastern King County. Going to the Costco in Kirkland sometimes feels like the fish market in Wuhan. Many Chinese people return to China frequently. Over ten thousand came back after the travel ban by going into Vancouver International instead of SeaTac. They brought this back in December and January.

Maybe it was the first state to panic and start the personal behavior changes before any were actually mandated.

I know that when I heard the people dropping like flies in the nursing home I started extra prepping.
This is just total speculation by myself.

Another thing is that it could be was that it is relatively easy to track down recent visitors to that nursing and warn them.

I sure wish more freepers would not just act like experts all the time AND, who trusts the numbers given by Washington states government anyway?
