We need to be producing hydroxychloroquine and the associated antibiotic by the boatloads and quit waiting until people are dying to prescribe it.

As near as I can tell the ventilators only prolong the dying process.

“Controversial”. It either works, or not. So far all reports are it works, so why does the MSM keep stating it’s “Controversial”? Because it’s something PDJT supports. That is the reason it’s “Controversial”.

Controversial???

Drug is FDA approved, is highly tolerated, and can be used off-lable. Let’s give it a shot.

Ohhhh, you mean controversial in which big pharma can’t make a bofo expensive vaccine or lucrative non-generic drug so as to fleece the populace.

I think we have a supply.

The stuff has been produced for decades, globally, practically everywhere.

It’s not under patent protection.

USE IT.

I’m surprised BC only has around 650 cases of corona

Is Hydroxychloroquine a combination of Hydroxyzine and Chloroquine?

I take Hydroxyzine. It is an OLD first generation anti histamine. It happens that it also is a drug for other things as well.

BTW. 15 bucks for a 90 day supply.

They reopened a plant in WV that had been shuttered for several years to begin producing more.

More..I understand that Israel sent over 6 million doses of the Med?

More than enough for the doses given for those infected at this time.

How can a drug be controversial? It either works, or it doesn’t work. Must we politicize everything?

“I think we have a supply.”

A common course of treatment is 12 of these pills (hyroxychloroquine, called Plaquenil)- 4 the first day, and 2 a day for the next four days (in divided doses) - 12 pills for the cure.

In addition to what we had on shelves and in storage, millions have already been donated from overseas. Bayer AG has sent three million (enough to treat 250,000 cases), and Teva Pharacueticals in Israel is sending six million, to be followed by four million more. Just those donations alone could treat a million cases.

They cost just a few pennies per pill - well under a dollar to treat a case. The supporting Azithromycin costs more like a dollar a pill, which is still a bargain. It is also a common generic drug, available all around the world.

Now that Congress has provided the biggest economic stimulus package in human history, to supercharge the economy through the president’s re-election, we can put this panic to bed.

There is a cure, and its cheap and easy, for the great majority of the relatively small minority who get serious symptoms.

I believe it is also produced in Vietnam.

So buy some.

A lot.

Now.

(I am sure Trump is already working on this)

But make it clear to people, in America and around the world.

There are apparently two uses.

First, there is a preventive dosage. I think is is once a week, or something like that - I am not a doctor so make sure.

Then there is a separate treatment dosage. That includes at least two other drugs, and a different amount of Hydroxychloroquine.

(again, I am not a doctor)

But this seems to me to be globally important.

Now.

I do know this. I have been advised that you NEVER take Hydroxyzine with Hydroxychloroquine.

I can NOT get in touch with my brother in law who is a pharmacist. The man has dropped off the earth!

Someone did the math, for the number of pills required...so far...by the upstate NY doc, who was treating his patients with this.....

7,000 pills, just for ONE doc. I can’t recall the number of patients he treated.

Multiply that by number of docs/infected or most in need patients, across the country.

That’s a lot of pills.

6 million pills would cover about 857 docs, based on the 7K number.

Not exactly.

This virus is attacking the heart directly and/or indirectly.

There are known heart issues with the drug. For example, University of Michigan is warning to use caution for patients with known risk of QT prolongation.

As a side note, I just noticed that Michigan suggests getting a g6pd test which is primarily found in males. So for those with Italian blood or other genes in the Thalessemia belt it appears there can be a coinheritance of Thalessemia and g6pd.

So this is something I have to check on even if primarily found it males...because primarily does not mean exclusively.

A nursing home of old people will be a good test of how this effects seniors that may have heart issues.
