Sorry, conspiracy theorists. Study concludes COVID-19 'is not a laboratory construct'

Conspiracy theories claiming COVID-19 was engineered in a lab as part of a biological attack on the United States have been gaining traction online in recent weeks, but a new study on the origins of the virus has concluded that the pandemic-causing strain developed naturally.

An analysis of the evidence, according to the findings first published in the scientific journal Nature Medicine, shows that the novel coronavirus "is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus," with the researchers concluding "we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible."

Researchers concluded that the novel coronavirus is not a human creation because it does not share any "previously used virus backbone." It likely arose, the study said, from a recombination of a virus found in bats and another virus, possibly originating from pangolins, otherwise known as scaly anteaters.

Corona not being a lab construct is a more terrifying prospect.

Why don’t you read the article instead of giving me your expert opinion.

There’s a lot which not known, and there is a lot of uncertainty. That said, there are bounds to the uncertainty, and the Wuhan Coronvirus being like the common cold in general severity is well beyond them.

..."we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible."

Believe, eh?

No real evidence (no actual science), just a belief (scientism).

Yeah, I'm real reassured with such a conclusion.

“You mean briefings provided by the same intelligence agencies that apparently did not pick up on the problem in China and warn Trump in a timely manner?”

You mean those same intelligence agencies who had their entire HUMINT networks in China rolled up thanks to killary playing fast and loose with her Top Secret emails?

“If it is a bioweapon, which I don’t believe, then it’s a pretty bad one. We’d be burning bodies in parking lots if it was the real McCoy.”

This was intended to be used on Taiwan and was engineered to incapacitate, rather than kill. The Chinese don’t want to kill everyone on the island, not do they want to bomb it back to the 19th century.... Both would be “bad optics” on the world stage and counterproductive to their goals.

They were working on something that could be quietly released in Taiwan, and once enough were too sick to put up a fight they could use their airliners to fly troops in and take over with hardly any shots being fired.

... humanitarian aid and their security teams to save the Taiwanese from this terrible disease and invite them to re-unite with the mainland!

The “scientists” and engineers who work in that WuHan Bioweapons lab routinely sold the animal experimental subjects into the WuHan meat market when they were finished with them at the lab. That is the norm for a totally controlled totally bureaucratic state. It is totally corrupt and its employees will make some extra money any way they can finagle it.

Vaping Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome. Symptoms like the virus. It can lead to DEATH. Underlying factor or contributing to a flu to make it worse?

https://journals.lww.com/ccejournal/Fulltext/2020/02000/Vaping_Associated_Respiratory_Distress_Syndrome_.4.aspx

Question NEVER asked. Who knows...1 in 10,000? CONTROL the pre-planned chaos, confusion, extermination. Repeat for any situation at any time with any enemy, foreign or domestic.

The debt-slavery, tax-war machine rolls on.

Precisely. Thousands of years of fortuitous disease origination in China, but this one time, it’s a Chinese weapon.

garbage folk story dressed up as ‘authoritative research’ because... wait for it... it would’ve been easier doing it with a virus backbone they would’ve used.

yup. that’s it. that’s all they’ve got.

brilliant !
