Because the former users died.
Clean the heck out of those buggers.
Put your life at risk on a Chinese made ventilator. No thanks.
That equipment should be made here.
BY GM?
Give me a break
I saw a story today the Ford design uses a bunch of the HVAC parts from the world’s largest selling vehicle the F150 pickup.
Brilliant! Stuff that’s in the pipeline and mfg every day.
I hope their supply chain doesnt include China. Ha ha.
Next Remington Typewriter will start making them.
GM is going to mfg theirs in Kokomo Indiana in cooperation with Ventec.
I suspect it will be made here in the future... that said a big thanks to Elon Musk ...
“Manufacturer’s rejects?!?”
Nope, just overstocked estimation. A new study reports that people who became sick from the coronavirus in the Chinese city where the outbreak began likely had a lower death rate than previously thought.
The study, published Thursday in the journal Nature Medicine, calculated that people with coronavirus symptoms in Wuhan, China, had a 1.4 percent likelihood of dying. Some previous estimates have ranged from 2 percent to 3.4 percent.
The estimate in the US is very low in comparison to our population. Here’s a good site to keep the stats by John Hopkins University and Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center if you’re interested:

good for Elon!
These are American brand ventilators. They may have been made in America.
I hope Trump can use this crisis to nail medical suppliers for greatly overpriced medical products, like ventilators.
I hope Trump can use this crisis to nail the CDC for being unprepared. I hope he cleans that house thoroughly and puts them back to their original
mission.
I hope Trump can use this crisis to nail the healthcare system for vendor-reliance and vendor-control in their preparedness and stocking.
I hope Trump can use this crisis to nail The Democrats and The MSM for politicizing and profiting from this pandemic. I hope he can put many of them in prison.
