A few decades ago, the conventional wisdom was that trade with China will democratize and soften the communist regime. The coronavirus pandemic has killed that myth, except perhaps among the malignant American media.
NBC News reporters like Kelly O’Donnell grow incensed about Sean Spicer asking a question as a credentialed member of the media. If you call this Chinese virus a Chinese virus, the malignant American media remain fully attached to the pre-Corona world where anyone cares.
The truth is that this virus originated in China. Worse, decisions by the Chinese communist regime after the virus appeared accelerated the problem.
Like the malignant American media, the Chinese communists can’t help it either. Communism is a system built on lies. Keeping the shiny polish on the regime is more important than the truth. That’s why the Chinese communists downplayed the threat of the coronavirus for months. This is how communists behave.
When another communist regime faced a nuclear cataclysm at Chernobyl in 1986, they were also hardwired to lie.
At first, the Soviets portrayed the meltdown of Chernobyl’s reactor core as a minor incident fully under control. Early efforts to clear debris from the blown reactor core included turning to West Germany. The Soviets wanted a robot called “Joker” to help clear debris. But Soviet lies extended even to the amount of radiation that Joker was expected to encounter. The Soviets lied to the West Germans, underplaying the radioactive carnage in order to keep the truth about Chernobyl from the world.
When Joker was activated at Chernobyl, the circuitry was promptly cooked by radiation levels many times what the West Germans were told.
Communists even lie when it means their own people die or their own cataclysms get worse.

Had Chinese takeout food two nights ago. Leftovers today.
We didn’t stop eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant when the Chimichanga virus struck several years ago.
I love American Chinese food but it ain’t the same as the food in China, can’t say I’ve ever eaten a bat or any other of their delicacies. :^)
I always used to joke with the owner of my favorite little Chinese restaurant that I didn’t come there for Chinese food, I came for AMERICAN Chinese food. “Chow mein and chop suey are American as hot dogs and hamburgers!”
Chinese takeout — even bad Chinese takeout — is a guilty pleasure for many Americans. You just need to resist the urge to peek into the kitchen.
Snakes? Has anyone here ever seen what happens to the rattlers Texans round up for their rattler roundups? “Tastes like chicken.” Frogs? What about Cajun frog legs? Then there are snails, aka escargot, a great French delicacy. So, let’s all be a bit kind to the Chinese for their taste for snakes, frogs, and snails. Dogs, especially, are entirely different.
Ha! Had the chance to try rattlesnake and turned it down due to the thought of it, the ones who tried it liked it.
I love frog legs, they’re delicious and have tried escargot but didn’t care for them.
Bats, dogs, cats, lizards, etc. no way.
How about the Chinese taste for eating the brains of LIVE monkeys?
Monkeys are such repellent animals that, “Frankly, my dear, I couldn’t give a damn.”
One of the Chinese restaurants in our town seems to be doing well. Drove by the other evening, and there were many cars in front. I’m glad, because they are very nice people.
If you’re an animal lover, DO NOT WATCH this UNLESS you really, really want to know WHY we must terminate the insane ONE-WAY trade crap with these people.
And THESE are the folks who now make damn near everything we purchase?? God will not forgive us for that!

That poor animal may have the last word to this ASSHOLE and his dinner guests as I suspect he emptied the contents of his bowels into what I suspect will be a uniquely flavored gravy!
