Just got back from Walmart. Lots of things wiped out:

Toilet paper. paper plates (I need some of each, but not desperate). Canned veggies and meats, eggs—not a one—bread, meats are low.

They had regular greasy (75%) hamburger marked down and available, in 1 pound lots, so I bought 4. I’ll make Stone Soup (Crumbled hamburger meat, 4 cans stewed tomatoes, 2 packs Lipton onion soup mix, quart of beef broth and elbow noodles).

I got a big pack of double slice paper towels. Can be used as TP if I must.

Bought more cans of Walmart brand soft biscuits for the oven. Good in place of bread.

Plenty of dog and cat food for the critters.

I need some new garden hose, maybe 200 feet (2 hundred foot premium rubber hoses—the ones I had that busted over this winter lasted for 20+ years!, so I’ll keep getting the best), BUT I forgot to look. Ain’t going back until next week.

About this stone soup.....I might try.

I remember the story of Stone Soup but didn’t know there was a real recipe.

Last week I made, in the slow cooker....SAUERKRAUT SOUP!

It was delicious.

I love soup.

Here’s more on fauci from Sundance:

Political Health – The Motives of a Very, Very, Political Dr. Fauci…
Posted on March 21, 2020 by sundance
There’s been a debate about possible political motives surrounding the panic he has created; the massive economic damage he has inflicted; and the conflicting assertions of National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci.

CTH identifies the motives as sketchy. He appears to use his position to advance theories and yet position himself to avoid scrutiny.

Sometimes within a 24 hour period Fauci will make a statement, then contradict the initial assertion, then attempt to cloud his own conflict with obtuse and wordy explanations. After watching for several weeks, we called it out HERE.

Perhaps one way to help see through the professional obfuscation, and identify just exactly how political Dr. Fauci is, would be to: compare and contrast Dr. Fauci under President Obama in September 2009 after 3,000 to 4,000 H1N1 deaths in the USA -vs- Dr. Fauci under President Trump in March 2020 after 200 to 300 COVID-19 deaths. WATCH:

.

Now, to better absorb the information…. According to the CDC final estimate of 2009 U.S. H1N1 cases (published in 2011): from April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010 approximately 60.8 million U.S. cases, 274,304 U.S. hospitalizations, and 12,469 U.S. deaths occurred due to H1N1. That’s the empirical data.

After: (1) watching that 2009 video; and (2) comparing the 2009 H1N1 response to the current 2020 COVID-19 response; and (3) reviewing the empirical data; we must admit to ourselves there is a VERY BIG difference. So now, with the baseline established, we look for why such a big difference; and to do that we (4) evaluate the politics:

TACOS!

Plenty of dog and cat food for the critters.

Some FReeper said he had given his dog the Chinese dog food....1/2 hour later, he was hungry again.

LOL ...

I have operated a "small" ground cover propagation nursery for a few decades. I probably have about a half mile of hose fanned out over two acres like the spokes of a wheel. Some of the hoses have buried themselves in the ground over the years. They all still seem to work.

I have been working to maximize my families virus protection and attack areas of vulnerability. Currently we are using Walmart’s pickup program as our only outside contact. We are not shopping in stores and not dining out including drive thru. When we pickup our groceries we scrub our hands with anti-B soap It has dawned on me that just one infected Walmart worker that is picking orders for pickup could do some real damage in our community. So why don’t the folks calling all the shots for our protection require any employees like the one’s I describe, at a minimum get tested for a fever before their shift? Just yesterday an expert was saying that the virus can survive for at least 24 hours or more on cardboard surfaces.
