I went to the grocery last week. This past Friday I had a doctor’s appt., nothing major, an appt. that had been made almost a year ago.

The grocery was fine but they had no chicken or eggs. Here I live in Delmarva heart of chicken farming, AND THEY HAVE NO CHICKEN!!!

But insert smile here, we can live without chicken if need be.

The doctor’s office assured me I could come, all was fine. I went in and they asked if I had cough, fever, etc. I said “no” and they took my temp.

I myself had sanitary wipes with me which I purchased before there was none. The lady who did an ultrasound on my stents washed her hands for over a minute, scrubbing vigorously with soap. She wore rubber gloves while examining and testing me.

After all done I go to Jeep, rip out a sanitary wipe and thoroughly wipe down my hands. I also went to liquor store and got some vodka. Always doing my transaction then wiping my hands down.

Oh, an no touchy-face.

My poor niece has a beauty parlor in a retirement home. She was shut down and her and her employees had no jobs. She, God bless, managed to find a beauty shop and rented a station from them for a couple of weeks. She also go her employees a job.

She tells me her rent is due, should she pay?

I am her accountant and told her not to pay. I don’t know how this is going to work but damn, they took away what she was renting.

Point of this narrative is to emphasize how Americans are doing what they have to do Shucks my priest sent us all emails and said for our love of the Eucharist we can tell God we gave it up for Him for Lent.

Hey, you gotta be creative.

Delaware, btw, made a contract with the Dogfish Craft Brewery to make hand sanitizer.

Americans. We’re the best.

Fauci really doesn’t bother me. Pres. Trump seems to trust him.

By using Fauci and keeping him in the forefront, the President makes clear he is using every official he has to fight this virus. In the long run, Fauci actually makes the President look like a great leader, even allowing an expert to toe his own line rather than parrot him. Fauci doesn’t drift too far, though, and shows respect to Donald Trump the man.

Brilliant, I’d say.

I hope you’re right. Yesterday, it did seem like he’d been knocked down a peg or two, and was a bit more respectful toward POTUS. Also, all this stuff about his “love” for Hillary and his ties to her is out for everyone to see now. He has to know that. He probably knows that everyone is keeping a close watch on everything he does and says, and would like to retire from his job without any black marks.

Who knows? I just want this to be over.

Birx has said that Fauci was her mentor. She served in the military for 20 years before entering the Civil Service bureaucracy. Fauci has been in the same job since 1984. He turns 80 in December. His wife, a nurse, is also a career bureaucrat and runs another agency.

You are spot on.

Little Fauci (and wife?) is far too involved
with Hillary Clinton and DNC/Deepstate
endless coverups and now has too many of
his own demeaning attacks impugning the ELECTED PRESIDENT
even though the PRESIDENT TRUMP was correct, and
little Fauci was not (there were many clinically
significant reports and NOT just anecdotes).

If not enuf, then there are these sweet fawning emails:

"Cheryl:
Anyone who had any doubts about the Secretary's stamina
and capability following her illness had those doubts
washed away by today's performance before the Senate
and the House. She faced extremely difficult circumstances
at the Hearings and still she hit it right out of the park.
Please tell her that we all love her and are very proud to know her.
Warm regards,
Tony"

Wow.

I heard stories of the midget’s love of Hillary but didn’t know what it was all about.

But anybody that loves Hillary like that will never, not ever, not ever, ever....have any respect of mine.

“It seems like every day things get worse for Italy.
I wonder why they are hit worse than other countries.”

Since the 1980’s they allowed 250,00o+ Chinese workers into their country top displace Italian workers in the textile industry. That’s why for starters.

No racism here, just the facts. And I am of Chinese descent.

Good response...There was no reason to get a snarky response. I thought you were being considerate and careful in your replies and offered some relevant information that added to the discussion no problem

VP Pence while exiting had just passed condolences to Kelly re: the death of a long-time NBC employee. Fauci was likely seconding the gesture.

Trump does not hold grudges when there’s no point to holding grudges Trump is able to pick the right people to help what he’s trying to get done and he is able to create a working relationship that you can see in this instance that makes Trump able to get his things done and look like the leader that he is absolutely awesome.

I just love when Trump calls him Tony hahaha by the way Newsom and Cuomo are also working well with Trump they really need him now and are positive about him wow what a great president

Christine Grady. IIRC, she’s in the same agency, NIH, but in another department.

Florida Keys closing to non-residents starting Sunday By ABC7 Staff

| March 20, 2020 at 8:18 AM EDT - Updated March 20 at 8:53 PM MONROE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - The Florida Keys are closing Sunday for the foreseeable future. The Keys, which are linked by a single highway to the state, will be closed to non-residents starting March 22. The unprecedented move will be a major blow to the tourism industry. But government officials in the Keys say they have to protect the health and safety of residents, many of whom are elderly.

Hotels, guest houses, short-term rentals in RV parks and vacation rentals have been directed to stop taking new reservations effective immediately. The only exception being made is for long-term renters in vacation homes and RV parks with contracts of 28 days or more. They’re allowed to stay until the end of their contracts. All other visitors must leave by 6pm on Sunday.

Government officials took action despite health officials in Monroe County saying there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Keys. But officials are quick to point out that the majority of people who contract coronavirus have mild or no symptoms at all. The order in is in effect for the next 14 days and will be reevaluated on an ongoing basis

. ................

So Friday I had lunch with some of the powers that be in the Keys and the general consensus at the time was that eventually non-essential businesses will eventually be closed.

At first Key West took the lead with a mayor who is a radial leftist and wants the govt. to control everything. Cruise ships were banned which killed off those supporting the cruise ships, vendors, others related to 2,500 visitors getting off the ship(and plunking down $11.00 to the city of Key West which they don't care about, true idiots)and others like the conch train, bars, shops, etc.

Once that was accomplished they closed hotels, bars of course and most restaurants letting a few do takeout and as they say the rest as they say will be history in another week. The destruction of the conch economy will be all but complete.

In my industry, fishing, once the hotels are closed, there is nowhere for those who would charter fishing boats to stay and nowhere for the wives to shop so they are done as well. Some may fish anyway, keep a few to eat, pass off some to neighbors and sell the rest until even that is stopped by the conch gestapo. A few necessary businesses will remain open, hospitals, gas stations, foodless stores, repair operations, a/c,cars,plumbing maybe even fishing rod and reel repair hard to say.

But, 90% of the economy of the Keys will be destroyed with little thought as to how it will ever come back if it does.

All this started at the top with potus advisors like midget Fauci, slush fund operator Debra Birx and VP Pence who appears to be along for the ride. State governors have huge says and most don't get it at all and just go along with closing everything. Then it filters down to counties that set rules and regs and cities which actually have lots of control but hide behind the counties so the don't get any political flack.

At least here in the keys that's how the game is played. The governor and county officials take all the heat. The entire op is most likely politically inspired by the drivebys to topple Trump and the economy in one fail swoop. Accd. to George Webb and others the virus itself may have been weaponized, man made and then released, much harder to document however.

Seems Trump may have fallen for it with a two trillion dollar package although the jury is out.If anyone can make anything work it will be Donald Trump.

...........................

There is a sort of resistance movement that may have taken off in earnest Friday evening on the last half of lovely Martha McCallum's show. It was extremely well done and even Martha who is near impossible to gauge, left or right, seemed shocked to hear what the speakers including FNC guys Steve Hilton and others along with John Hopkins guy Amesh Adalja all had to say about the unnecessary destruction of Capitalism.

The last part of Martha's show featuring new opinions started with the Wall Street Journal which thinks we need more balance between the economy and closing it down over the corona. "no society can safeguard public health at the cost of its economy". They are right too.

What about h1n1 less than ten years ago when 60 million got the flu,350k were hospitalized and thousands died. It never made the news and our lives went on as if nothing was happening.how is it different from today

The Wall Street Journal continues: "Americas resources to fight a plague are not limitless and our resources will go down by the day if all this continues, we need a stronger strategy than what is currently being used" .They are right.

Steve Hilton continues by claiming that basically: "we can't protect ourselves from our selves forever." Hilton describes what we are seeing is "economic destruction on a scale that people are not really contemplating" . He will air his entire comments tonight on his show on FNC.

Hilton continues; he sees what we are doing as: "the great depression if we are lucky" scary at best. He goes on: Hilton tells Martha that by April millions of businesses will go under, "they got no revenue coming in"he states to the beautiful McCallum who is now blown away with what she is hearing. Hilton reminds the huge audience that follows Martha's show that small businesses have rent to pay, bills to pay, salaries to pay,." It's not gonna happen". He says there will be millions of unemployed.

Hilton suggests that rather than shutting down the economy why not focus on "protecting the most vulnerable". Great idea. Martha asks Hilton if Steve Mnuchin's comments about how we will get thru the virus quickly were said to be "just happy talk"? Hilton calls it wildly unrealistic.

Hilton reminds all that when dealing with an economy: you can't just press pause and then when you are ready press play he says it does not work that way". He's right. Hilton goes on to say all those Americans following their dreams will go bust it will be a disaster Hilton quotes Trump:"15 days to defeat the virus" Hilton says any longer than that and we will have a disaster.

Dr. Amesh Adalja comes on Martha's show after writing in the Pittsburgh tribune: that there is a real risk of destroying peoples livelihoods vs. what risk the virus will do,once again he's right. Adalja, a scholar at John Hopkins Univ. says that: "there are consequences to people's lives when you close down non-essential businesses." (what is going on everywhere) Adalja goes on to tell Martha:"people need to work in order to eat,in order to feed their families" he infers that some of the governors are "going too far" ! He goes on to say that calling off elective surgeries can backfire as well. What is elective? What is not.? People that can't get a colonostomy for cancer screening will we have an uptick in cancer? Who knows?

VDH also appeared but I can't find any reference to it that I can access.

More later.

There’s another email, too, about “most admiring doctor” or similar. Saw a screen shot of it — on some Twitter page, I think.

Great analysis bud and exactly why ol’ Bernie is not going anywhere. He’s still around to see how high the bidding will go for him to get out,my guess 30-50 mill and some other hidden assets or he raises hell and they lose the House and the Senate.
