“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24 KJV

What if the Marxists were to use their energy building this country up rather than tearing it down? What if all the Bernie Bros saw America as something good rather than evil? What would this country look like if they all worked together rather than tearing each other apart? What if they saw President Trump as the radical idea they are chasing and had positive energy together rather than hating each other?

Back in the 70s many of us believed Communism was a superior form of government and some like Bernie still do as do many of his older hippy followers. His younger ones are anarchists and only see his candidacy as an excuse to destroy property while the young ideologues are Communist wannabes. Then you have the radical Democrats who are Socialists wanting to live in Europe because it is so evolved compared to America which is why they believe you must tear it down.

For many of us who were Communists the eye opener was the question when the Berlin wall existed was if Communism is so wonderful why do they build walls to keep their people in while America builds them to keep people out? If an American wants to move to Russia or Cuba he can simply apply and bon voyage they are there, Hollywood are you listening? But, if you are in Russia or Cuba you will never get out even today let alone China or Vietnam.

Once you ask and answer that question then the next is why was Marxism invented if it needs be run by a dictator like Castro or Putin? Unlike the propaganda our brilliant movie stars tell us, people will not work for free, they need incentives just like the starlets being paid to remove their clothes for the camera, most won’t do it for free, they expect and deserve payment to show their goods. The same can be said for the guy who changes your tire and the doctor who works on your heart, they exchange their skills for some form of payment which is usually money.

Under Communism everyone is paid basically the same so the black markets form or some sort of gummit kickbacks where the Communist Party takes care of themselves and they become the wealthy through corruption but the workers get nothing. There is no incentive for the starlet to take off her clothes or the doctor to excel in his craft which is why they have no cinema or quality medicine as you see in China over a simple flu bug.

Marxism was formed to move a people from a Czar system to a democracy. Now Karl Marx envisioned a pure democracy with one man one vote which he did not realize the cities would become the masters of the country, but he saw it as a way to move to citizen rule. What some Communists realized in the late 70s and early 80s was Marx was trying to move towards America. Why do you need this dictator to move the country from a monarchy or Czar oppression to a democracy when you already have one? You can argue a Democratic Republic vs a pure democracy, but you already have self-rule so why not just embrace what you have and make it the best it can be rather than trying to start over?

The Bernies of the country want to tear it down and start over since it is a flawed country. Well, yes it is and so is every country which has man in charge. There is no perfect country just as there are no perfect people, we are all flawed and filled with sin. They will point to racism, sexism, homophobia and every other ism under the sun as proof this country is not deserving to exist, show one country which does not have any of those isms or hatred and then let’s talk.

Yes, America is a flawed country but it is the best one on the planet. Yes, capitalism is not fair however the country which includes around 10% of the population of the earth has more millionaires than the rest of the world combined. It also gives more charity than the rest of the world combined by a large margin, so why do you want to tear it down to be like the rest of the world combined?

What would happen if the Bernie followers or the Democrats were to unite behind this country rather than wanting to destroy it? What if they realized this country is the radical idea they think they are? What if they understood this is really where Karl Marx was wanting to take the world to and was his socialist utopia masked in capitalism? America is a radical idea and allows both self rule as well as self determination which is unheard of throughout histoir.

If you read Marx you will see this is where his not so radical idea was supposed to take you. What he never realized was you cannot have a revolutionary dictator and then expect the dictator to give up power. He was naïve in believing an all powerful man was going to turn over the reigns of power as well as the wealth to the people once he has that power. There is not one example of that happening which is why America is such a unique and radical idea.

After what the Democrat Party did to Bernie his boys should see what happens when a dictatorship takes over a country. This was the American version of a political execution, under a real communist dictatorship he would not be breathing. Bernie had the lightest taste of what President Trump has been going through for four years.

They are both threats to the establishment although coming from opposite sides of the spectrum. His followers should put down their socialist idealism and pull for the real radical in the race and support Trump. His pure capitalism is the real threat to the establishment as freedom is the real fear the biggest terror the world cabal has ever imagined. If those Bernie bros really opened their eyes they could make a difference in the world which would magnify any movement a Marxist like Bernie could ever imagine.

What would America look like if both sides were pulling together rather than apart? What if we put down the swords like xenophobia, Global Warming, veganism and virtue signaling and focused on making the best country which ever existed, better? What if we discussed these issues rather than screamed them from the hilltops like they were life and death and embraced freedom? What if we made America the shining city on the hill and making it the beacon of freedom or Forefathers imagined? What if we made that beacon so bright those lost in darkest China, Cuba, North Korea and Russia were blinded by it? What would America look like then?

Pray America really wakes

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

Morning AB, All. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably and keeping the peace with gentle thread policing. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, Thank all yon contributors for excellent commentary to flesh it all out.

Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.

Daily Miscellany

Thoughts and flashes of brilliance that enter my head from nowhere.

Enjoy.  Or abhor, depending on the effect of my "wisdom".

It's been quite stressful coping with a virus that we know little about as our at-home-from-school children run wildly about the house and we try to work at home through it all.

After all the panic finally erodes I argue that some changes need to be made to our culture.

And we need to recognize some things.

Let us begin by considering what staying at home means in this day and age.

We have communication with the entire planet from a little device we carry everywhere with us.  We can "talk" more on a larger keyboard with bigger print via a laptop computer we have at a sturdy desk.  We can take a large pad around with us as we check web sites and keep up with what's going on in the world.

The kids have computer games that keep them busy and occupied.

And hey, if we want to watch TV we have movies we can press a button to get.  We can record our shows to call up to watch and press buttons to pause.  We can pause it in this room and start it back up at the same spot in the upstairs back bedroom.

We have music that can be transmitted from our Iphones to large speakers should we want to dance.

Of course we have indoor toilets, hot water, plenty of food and toilet paper that we amassed, coffee made from pods of pre-made coffee grounds and hey, have meals delivered fully prepared if of a mind.

Staying home isn't as boring as it used to be is what I'm saying here.  Sure after a while we'll get bored and want a change of scenery.

But for now, staying home can be as fun and convenient as we want it to be.

Trump 'strongly considering' full pardon for Flynn

If every anybody deserved a full pardon is it Michael Flynn, a hero to his country who was so mistreated by our wonderful FBI, AKA the Keystone Kops.

Now our great federal police force and justice department has lost the General's medical records?

Once upon a time I was proud of my country and the leaders of various parts of the government.

Than the very truthful and likable

 James Comey came along.

Like I said....Keystone Kops.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/487663-trump-strongly-considering-full-pardon-for-flynn

President Trump said Sunday that he is “strongly considering” a full pardon for his former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has ‘lost’ the records of General Michael Flynn,” he tweeted.

“How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” he added.

Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 for lying to the FBI about his communications with the Russian ambassador.

Coronavirus prompts McDonald's to close store seating, play areas

Since I have been learning just how dirty this planet is, with all manner of things covered with human snot, saliva and crude germs, I am certainly not surprised that McDonald's play area is a den of dirthood.

I always took my granddaughter to McDonald's when she would visit and she loved it.  I don't recall her ever getting sick from playing at McDonald's but nowadays one has to watch everything one touches from everywhere one goes.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/coronavirus-mcdonalds-closes-seating-play-areas

McDonald’s is scaling back operations at stores in North American because of the coronavirus outbreak, the company said Monday.

The fast-food chain will limit service at company-owned stores in the region to drive-thru service, walk-in take-out and deliveries. Seating areas, self-service kiosks and children’s play areas are closed until further notice.

“We believe this temporary change is the right decision for our consumers, our communities, and our business and will continue to evaluate our operations as the situation evolves,” the company said in a statement.

McDonald’s franchisees in North America are “strongly encouraged” but not required to enact the same policies. The adjusted store policies take effect at the close of business on Monday.

The changes at McDonald’s stores came as government officials recommend that Americans practice “social distancing” in order to slow the spread of coronavirus. Many U.S. companies have cut back on store hours, tweaked service policies or closed locations entirely due to the risks.

Just some statistical pictures showing some truths more plainly than the text might do.

Why no I didn't watch the debate between Democratic presidential primary nominees Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

I heard that Biden won the debate but first, how difficult can it be to win a debate against Bernie and second, how interesting can such a debate be?

As I heard it, both nominees said pretty much the same thing President Trump has been saying about money to help those hurt by the nasty virus and how much money should give them all.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/mary-anne-marsh-winners-and-losers-sunday-debate

While starting a debate focused on the coronavirus by coughing wasn’t the best move by former Vice President Joe Biden, he employed the right strategy in his first one-on-one matchup against Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday night, making it about solutions versus a revolution.

Biden addressed the coronavirus crisis and every topic discussed with real answers to the existing challenges we face today. In contrast, Sanders missed the mark by relying on his stump speech about a revolution to change health care and other important aspects of American society.

With a very strong performance, Biden was the clear winner of the debate between the Democratic presidential candidates.

There certainly are a lot of FORMER administration officials on today’s Sunday TV talk shows. Are the there to remind us of the brilliant job that the previous administration did during a pandemic? /s

Your “chance of wuhan infection” graphic is out of date. We currently have 26,747 infected (and climbing) as of this morning, not 2,726.

Again, I wrote it last week. The statistics change greatly day to day. I even point out at the beginning that it is part of my daily diary.

But go on, correct me in public.

I am so impressed.

Why not just update the graphic? I agree in a general sense the majority of us still have a low risk, but that could change. And like you said to Dear Diary, “feel free to add your point of view” of which I did. My point of view is, your graphic is out of date. I guess that would be more of a factual comment than a point of view, but I digress.

the day's lineup appears to have been chosen
to demean the ELECTED PRESIDENT who has forcefully
and wisely protected Americans, while the previous
Islamic/imposter/NWO administration is going to get
busy covering up and hiding THEIR/Red China's role.

“FACE THE NATION (CBS): Dr. Anthony Fauci”

I wonder if he’ll be asked why, when he was walking out of the briefing yesterday, he gave the high sign* with his hand to that chick reporter (Kelly O’Donnell, I think) who gave POTUS the hard time.

I, for one, would LOVE to know when Fauci and O’Donnell collaborated on the events of the briefing.

Will he be asked about his history as it relates to financial support of the Clintons, and include his extended family’s support?

*(a surreptitious gesture, often prearranged, giving warning or indicating that all is well)

I’m particular sad for the Italians. I lived 2 years in Italy, at the beautiful San Vito die Normanni air station near Brindisi, which is at the end of the Appian Way, and from where Romans would embark galleys to Greece and the Levant. Lots of history and culture.

793 dead from coronavirus Saturday (yesterday) in Italy!

Yes, I do take it very seriously.

I go to Walmart once a week for resupplies. I’m going this morning. I take a couple of Clorox wipes to wipe down the cart and my hands as I touch things. I keep my distance from other shoppers and use the self checkout.

Maybe I’ll even buy some toilet paper! Hope springs eternal!

I don’t much like that midget Fauci.

He was the one who yelled out that the possible “cure” for covid 19 was “anecdotal”.

President Trump treats him very well but I don’t trust that shrimp one bit.

It seems like every day things get worse for Italy.

I wonder why they are hit worse than other countries.

I pray things get better for them.

Speaking of praying, yesterday I sat down tired and sad. I really missed mass. I missed singing the songs, I missed Eucharist, I missed, yes, my fellow parishioners.

“He was the one who yelled out that the possible “cure” for covid 19 was ‘anecdotal’.”

Yes; at every briefing he’s been very dismissive of the drugs that have worked well for this virus. Even worse, he’s publicly been dismissive, rude, and arrogant personally to POTUS regarding this issue. There’s a reason (usually “follow the money”) he doesn’t want it to work, even though it absolutely does in many cases.

In all fairness, Dr. Birx, has said the same “anecdotal” phrase in the same context — but not recently.

Spain is right behind. 467 deaths yesterday.

I just hope we can keep the curve shallow here.

I have health, including lung issues, so I am keenly aware.
