I was reading that someplace (Italy?) was taking into account the BMI number to decide if the person needed treatment or not. I know that many people, including doctors, say that the BMI numbers don’t tell the whole story of a person’s health.

Folks here are so quick to discount deaths like this bc it suits them politically to do so. This man, even with the so-called health concerns, would have probably survived regular flu.

This virus id easy to spread, easy to catch and if you have the wrong genetics it can take you out even young and if healthy. If you’re older and/or have contributing factors, the chances it can hit you hard go up.

I’m 68, fmr smoker, still vape, am type 2, have had double pneumonia. I’m going nowhere.

We're told on March 7 he developed a cough, and the next day he coughed up blood. He flew back to LAX on March 9 ... and immediately went to the ER, where he also had a high fever.

Dafuq? Ignoring the entire Wuhan Virus scare, if I was coughing up blood I certainly wouldn't be going on a plane... I'd be sleeping in my hotel, gargling scotch to make it go away. Or, y'know, going to a nearby hospital..
