Works great in coffee though. Makes it so you don't have to descale the coffee machine nearly as often. Also, is advisable to use for irons and other such devices. Like anything else, it's inadvisable to overdo it. Too much of anything is bad IMO. One of the things I thought was interesting when I was looking into this yesterday is that they also sell minerals to put back into the water. Basically, the idea is to get rid of all the bad, and then put back in just the good.
I haven't decided to pull the trigger on this, though I did find a nice system in stainless and glass, that is actually made in the USA. Sure as hell ain't buying one from China. I think this is going to go on my list after a new coffee roaster. I burned my old one up and need to replace it. Freshly roasted coffee is freaking awesome.
I put trace minerals back in our distilled water...and what do you think fluoride and chlorine do to your body?
