Stuck rationing toilet paper because you didn't stockpile during the coronavirus panic over the last few days? Don't worry, according to supply chain experts.
"All the grocery stores are going to have pallets of toilet paper sitting in the aisles and nobody is going to buy it because who needs to buy toilet paper when you got a year's worth sitting in your garage," Daniel Stanton, a supply chain expert and author of "Supply Chain Management for Dummies," tells CNBC Make It. But what about food? Even if the COVID-19 pandemic stretches over months (President Donald Trump said it could last until August), there will no big food shortages, especially on staples like milk, eggs, cheese, bread and meat, according to three supply chain experts who spoke to Make It.

A friend reported that in her area in the Midwest, no stores have potatoes, toilet paper, or hand sanitizers. Also missing are cereals and eggs. Many shelves are empty. Some shortage of bottled water. However, there are plenty of milk, bananas, coffee, and bread.
More like OverHYPE LOL Cautious but not panic
I usually bake bread around Christmas....the first loaf is a little iffy, but the next rounds get better and better.
And be sure to add several months supply of PANIC!!!! to your grocery list.
Because if you are locked down you don't want to run out of toilet paper. Then when everyone started buying it you have to get what you can when you can because it might be gone.
“Why would a woman want her eggs coated with caster oil?”
See post 117. Eggs are laid with a natural air/microbe-blocking coating that American processing removes.
One thing I've noticed is the top grade hamburger is sold out first. There is plenty of ground chuck...
Oh, those eggs....
My apologies.
My local grocery store has not had ONE box of any kind of pasta or rice for 5 days now ridiculous!!!
FOLO - Fear Of Losing Out - is driving this.
“Oh my! There might not be enough for me tomorrow! I better get mine, and a bunch extra just in case, today!”
“Ah, so are you a Browns fan or a Doc Brown fan?”
Used to be the Browns. Art Modell administered the antidote and Jimmy Haslam is keeping the cure in place.
Now Doc Brown, how can you not like Doc Brown?!
ground beef here, as well
Arghh...zoom, right over my head! Call me Stew Ped #8^}
Rice, sugar and potatoes are gone. E
Now the stores are putting Limit One on all the hoarded stuff, so eventually the supply chain will catch up.
In the days of trouble before Jesus returns, there will be no supply chain.
And BTW, thank every trucker you see.
My family just ignores me....

I know, right! Use KY.
Here eggs are easy as all I have to do is walk to the chicken house.
Local rural market had hundreds of chicks, roosters, and pullets for sale, no different than usual. Chicks were going for ~$1.50 a piece, depending on breed. Point-of-lay hens were a little harder to come by, but it's seasonal demand more than anything else.
We have three neighbors with producing hens and have eggs stacked to the brim. If your municipality allows it, I recommend getting a few. They produce eggs daily and are simple and cheap to care for.
