You misplaced your decimal point.

In an average USA flu season, the mortality rate is 0.1% to 0.2% - in other words, one or two per thousand.

Re: "The death rate for coronavirus is approximately 4%"

The “Case Fatality Rate” in the USA is 1.6% today.

That rate has been stable or declining for ten straight days.

That number’s probably still high because there are reports (Not claiming they are reliable!) that CV has an exceptionally high asymptomatic rate. I have seen it as high as 86% (I find this number highly suspect!)

Bottom line there is some number of people who show no symptoms and don’t bother to get tested. That increases the number of infections by some percentage.

flu data 2019 -2020 season Mortality rate for flue depends on where you get it; the above site gives 6600/13000000 = .0005 or .05% even at that .04/.0005= 80 corona virus is 80 times deadlier than the flu IT ISN'T THE FLU OR A COLD.
