All of that is well and good.
What do 99% of the US voters still call it?
What did the liberal media call it when they whipped up the frenzy and tanked the economy and the stock market?
You needn’t answer. We all know what the answer is.
We’re done here. Thanks for playing.

I haven't the foggiest, why don't you take a poll to find out what everyone calls it?
It was initially called the novel coronavirus, because it was a new (novel) coronavirus that had yet to be identified. Current nomenclature is SARS-CoV-2. Can you tell me, without looking it up, the correct name for the Spanish Flu? (Side hint, it's not called that because it came from Spain!) What about any other pandemics? Do you go home and tell people you have influenza, type A, H#N#, strain XYZ? No, you just tell people you have the flu.
And what good does pinging me on every article that mentions the term "coronavirus" do? It's still an accurate description, no different than saying I drive a Toyota pickup, instead of saying " I drive an '07 Toyota Tundra 4.7L SR5, metallic salsa red".
Here, I'll even link you to one that goes opposite your 'argument':
